Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice from the TE community on choosing a new monitor for my workspace, and I’d love to hear your real-world experiences!
I’ve narrowed it down to two 27-inch, 1440p IPS monitors: the BenQ GW2790QT and the Dell P2723DE. Both tick all my must-haves: QHD resolution, USB-C (with power delivery for charging my laptop), daisy-chaining support (DisplayPort Out), and built-in USB hub. I’m mainly working from home, so good ergonomics, eye comfort, and reliable build quality matter a lot.
Here’s why I’m split:
The BenQ GW2790QT has some nice extras like built-in speakers, a mic, and “eye care” features for eye strain. It seems a bit cheaper as well, and I’ve seen positive reviews.
The Dell P2723DE offers higher USB-C charging power (90W vs 65W, which could matter if you run a power-hungry laptop), plus a wired LAN (Ethernet) port, which is rare and handy. Dell’s support reputation is solid, but the price is higher.
Would love to hear if anyone is using either of these as their daily driver:
*How’s the panel quality (brightness, colors, viewing angles)?
*Are the USB-C and USB hubs reliable for laptops and accessories?
*Any quirks, firmware issues, or annoyances?
*If you’ve dealt with BenQ or Dell warranty/service in India, how was your experience?
*For those running Mac or mixed setups: any compatibility issues?
*If you use the speakers/mic on the BenQ, are they good enough for calls?
Open to any pros, cons, or “wish I’d known this before buying” advice!
Thanks in advance for your suggestions and honest feedback. It’ll really help me (and others!) make a well-informed choice.
