i have car , i want to ask list of car accessories for safety purpose.
Hey Rohit, welcome to the forum.
Always have a tyre inflator and torch, I never leave without those. I also keep a good quality screwdriver set and a set of jumper wires in the trunk.
I have a difficult time driving in the night, if you are like me invest in protective film for the front glass.
- Dashcam
- A small knife in the dashboard (if seatbelt gets stuck in emergency situations)
- hydraulic jacky + tyre inflator
- a wooden block (for steep areas)
- glass breaker
Sunglasses, preferably polarized. I can’t emphasize enough just how crucial a good pair of polarized sunglasses can be when the sun is directly hitting your eye balls. I always have it on my sun visor.
Define protection or safety so people can pour in relevant suggestions.

They give you a sample piece of glass to test the window breaker. I’ve seen reviews of similar keychain devices and it’s shocking how easily they break car windows when you compare with using blunt force
You do understand they also make theft easy. So never leave a laptop or any other valuable in plain view inside the car.
- Dashcam with excellent clarity
- Air pump
- Jumper cables or portable jump starter
- Seat belt cutter and glass breaker
- Retractable baton (personal safety)
A firearm replica for defense in case those egg throwing gangs throws egg and corners you.
Nice. I will get one. I don’t have a window breaker.
I think you can use the headrest to break the window. The headrest is designed for that purpose as well.
Depends on what you are looking for as protections.
Is it something you must have in car to keep you protected or is it something that is good to have?
Must-have, as quoted by few forum colleagues: -
- Tyre Inflator [Please see the rating of the tyre inflator and time duration required to fill]. Suggest having 2, one that is heavy weight and can fill the tyre from 0 to the desired psi [they are generally wired]. Second one wireless which can be used for regular top up.
- Glass breaker/seat belt cutter: please invest in good one, not compromising on quality. If possible, try on some old glass if you can.
- A box at the boot that would help you with all loose items like cloths/washer/extra napkin etc.
- A lighter/matchboxes & torch [suggest having batteries, not rechargeable], as in time of need you may have low charge.
- Invest in a good dashcam and this would save you a lot of trouble in times of emergency.
A good-to-have list would be long. as someone might need a protector stick, toothbrush, baton/stick, jumper cable, Car rope, tow strap, and goes on
