Lumia 520 for Windows 8
yeah thats for sure .. i have currently shortlisted lumia 520, Xolo Q700 ( Q800 also comes with same processor now ) , Canvas 3D / 2 , spice flo smart pace 2 and few more .. are there any good offerings from brands like samsung , sony , htc ?
Offerings from Samsung Sony HTC will be generally of specs with Cortex A5 Single Core with upto 1GHz, 512MB RAM and Adreno 200. These against mentioned models will not be able to stack up but then there are people who do not want to risk on ASS part, like me. Some offerings in this range are menitoned below.

Samsung Galaxy Music Duos
Huawei Ascend Y300
HTC Desire C
LG Optimus L5 Dual/L5 II
Huawei Ascend G510
Samsung Galaxy Fame
Lumia 520 is a good option. Its pretty smooth. Doesnt have flash and front camera though.
Guys if you are suggesting any android phone, please also mention their shortcomings or anything because it is sort of known that the cheaper android handsets will not give the user an experience of android which one would get from higher specs phones.
Below is table of offerings in sub 10K range. All have 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage and JellyBean except HTC Desire C which has ICS. Looking at this I feel only Huawei phones are good in terms of VFM.

Pantech Burst is a pretty good contender as well.

Pantech burst here as well, it has MSM8660 snapdragon with adreno 220.
Can’t beat that under 10k 
Heard of Xolo Q700 ?
But it’s a mediatek chipset based device which is a crap, and then again it’s lava which is crappiest
Cheaper android phones tend to lag.Pantech burst is indeed the best VFM android phone under 10k but i think lumia 520 is another good option.Windows is really smooth.Downside being lack of apps.
no bro. brand aside, xolo q700 is a pretty decent device.

Xolo has nearly non-existent A.S.S. so I would suggest to avoid it. Also at lower end Android device with brand will lag and Android device without brand is chinese stuff. At 10K, I would again say for Lumia 520.
yes, the A.S.S is pathetic BUT I still feel that Xolo’s Q800 and Q700 are worth checking out once before being overly judgmental.
Although, I do agree Lumia 520 is one of the best handsets to buy in the <10k price range..
Ok bro, if you said so. So i think xolo devices are better then other mmx/karbonn craps. Till date i haven’t got a chance to play with any xolo device, will try to get my hands on it soon.
But there are not many choices if one needs a good branded android device under 10k.
yes, karbonn is lame. The only encounter Ive had with a MMX phone was the Ninja A89 which was a very good handset. Rest, I’ve reviewed xolo q800 and have a friend who uses q700, so these 2 are pretty solid devices.. you should try them out once

yeah Xolo Q800 is available for less than 9.5k now which seems to best buy if someone wants Android under 10k , another option is Canvas 2 Plus which is slightly above 10k.
Still works with skype.

That’s my vote for best branded phone under 10k because they ain’t an android branded one to compete with it (for now).
