Bigme B751C 7'' Colour Android Eink Tablet

Meant to purchase last week but got side-tracked. Was purchased from Bigme directly last December as an eReader but wasn’t used as much as expected. Usage is probably in very low double-digit hours.

Don’t mind keeping it for when time permits reading but prefer to liquidate it and invest in something else. It uses the same Kaleido 3 display as the Kobo and Amazon ones, but has lot more settings to tune the display.

Android of course provides a lot more flexibility in sideloading stuff and using apps, compared to other eReaders. It comes with a stylus whose head got chipped at some point when in the drawer as I didn’t use it otherwise. It works fine, and you can use any other ones as well, since it is a basic active capacitive stylus.

Neither the cover nor the reader has magnets to hold a folded cover, so I did some DIY with velcro to hold the cover in place when closed or reading. It also came with a hanging loop for the stylus which as expected loosened within days and could no longer hold the stylus, so I cut it off to prevent interference.

Will ship using the original box and cable.

Info: Using Olauncher in the images instead of the original launcher which isn’t great. Can be rooted easily using mtkclient and I had done it in the past before prefering to use adb instead to prevent OTA issues.

Updating price directly in OP

Price is negotiable to an extent though as mentioned previously it has not been used for even a dozen hours. For reference, it comes to 20k with discount code on the official BigMe site, not considering the 30% custom duty that is applied to this category of devices.

Also, the eink displays always have what are called as “stuck pixels”. Don’t have the exact link I had read in the past but 5-6 of them are considered to be the industry standard and are not covered by warranty. Instead, sharing another link related to this discussion.

This one has one “bright” and one “dark” stuck pixel, which developed after the first day and has been the case since, so is much better than what comes up in most Kaleido displays. In terms of usage, it is not visible considering the device resolution.
