dunno bout LG or nokia but in SE it is very straight forward.
I have installed toshiba bluetooth stack on my lappy which supports BT remote control. I just add my lappy as a paired devide with my K750i, start remote control and voila!
SE has even provided some software of its own where you can customise the keys on the phone to perform two-three key combos. you can then transfer the file thru BT to your phone, even make a skin for the remote control
I even earned brownie points during my training, we had a presentation to give, I took my lappy and used mobile to control powerpoint they were damn impressed!
use ‘Bluetooth Remote Control’ it’s a very nice app with many options. I use it to control media player while writing assignments for college . It can be integrated with many apps like vlc, winamp, explorere and power point ofcourse .
A friend of mine who works at a large DB company always does that. Flipping through slides with his candybar SE phone (k750i or something). I believe SE ships with software to control the mouse via bluetooth already.
Linux has plenty of packages, atleast for media players
