There is virtually no comparison to NVIDIA or AMD line.
This is real power to the enduser , finally !!!
Will need to see when it hits the market !!!
Is this real or gimmick ![]()
This is like a TE sale thread without any photos of the actual item being sold.
My weasel detectors are lighting up like a Christmas tree⦠:hilarious: man I have become such a cynic after watching so many conmans
Early April Foolās video perhaps?
As per the CEO, Bolt Graphics will be doing live demos at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco from March 18 to March 21.
If it happens or not or to what scale will indicate whether it is real or vapourware.
Lets wait and watch ![]()
I like the fact atleast someone thought of adding upgradable memory in gpus.
( Donāt know if itās gonna be true or not/conman )
Donāt know how to put this without compromising my identity but I met the founder at a TC meet-up in SF. This was just before GPT 3.5 was open to public but AI was the buzz in the town.
My startup (at the time) was pivoting on edge computing devices. We had secured contracts from Netflix but they wanted us to meet these suckers who claimed to have some revolutionary architecture to double the efficiency of our data centres.
They were they full of s***t. These shmucks based entire performance claims solely on "pre-silicon emulationsā. It was a bunch of diagrams, that you couldnāt verify even if you wanted, because the hardware they used to run these was also proprietary. We quickly realised their claims were borderline impossible. Their entire pitch seemed like they were aggressively looking to be acquired, not that we had the resources to do so.
Iām just surprised they managed to BS their way into mainstream media. Fake it till you make it can only take you so far lol.
I have to say, that the fact that they even got a nod from Netflix is in itself pretty impressive..
"pre-silicon emulationsā - thatās a red flag right there !!!
Expect nothing and you will get nothing, but the fact remain that Tech community will check them anyways
We
We got 2.25 TB of VRAM before GTA 6.
Again as I said before -
" This feels like an announcement where we really want to see product. "
Reading more about it, it is simply focused on FP64 calculations which none of the consumer GPUs prioritize and cannot match mianstream consumer GPUs on FP16 and FP32 calculations. It is a very expensive product meant only for rendering, path tracing and scientific workloads. Guess the marketing went a bit wild with the announcements and Nvidia/AMD mentions.
It is the March 25th today, did it happen?
They only posted the invite on social media. Guess the demo was done with a NDA, as there is no media report on it.
