Can this mandatory 10 character limitation be removed as its very irritating to type a forceful sentence even for a simply yes/no response.

It was 20 characters earlier, we have reduced it to 10.
It eliminates (reduces) lazy responses and maintains a certain level of professional appearance as compared to social media style responses.
Its a small barrier, lets try to put meaningful content. Think of it this way, if you go to a shopkeeper and ask him if he has a certain item. Would you like a “No” or maybe a few more helpful words.
Irrespective of where this discussion goes, not looking to reduce it further.

I disagree.
It depends on the query / discussion.
Sometimes, brevity and to the point responses are better.
Adding words to the sentences doesn’t necessarily mean one is adding value to the conversation.
