The annual Consumer Electronics Show is now well underway with Las Vegas once again hosting a sprawling sneak peek at the tech that will shape the industry throughout 2026.
The Verge is on the ground at CES 2026 covering the biggest announcements, press conferences, and gadgets and we’ll be sharing hands-on impressions and takeaways of the best new tech making its debut in Vegas.
Intel was just more AI garbage. Panther Lake was meh, no new Arc GPU (the integrated B390 doesn’t count) , and they spoke about frame gen on their integrated solution

Say what you want about Dell, I appreciated them a lot more this time. They are also reviving the XPS line.
It has shifted to a B2B tone quite sometime earlier but this year was particularly bad because of the AI focus.
The AMD segment with over 200 mentions of AI and bringing Trump’s advisor who works on AI polices on stage was particularly egregious.
Every brand has simply lost it by focusing only on concepts, prototypes and high-end products. No one is even trying to appeal to mainstream consumers.
BTW the Chaos Communication Congress was a lot more interesting this year.
The 5K dual mode monitor from MSI with 2304 FALD zones was actually exciting. Too bad they don’t have the confidence to launch it. Lowkey perfect monitor for me.
Oh and I was also excited for G-Sync Pulsar until they said it only works with Nvidia GPUs. Nobody should be locked into a GPU brand because of their monitor, back to the dark ages of VRR tech being locked across GPUs and monitors . Two steps forward and a big one back.
