So here is the deal, I want the cheapest option exclusively for gaming
I already have my MVA 24" monitor and sound card and speakers . keyboard and mouse
I need :
**Processor **
**Motherboard **
**RAM **
**Cabinet
HDD **
**DVD-drive **
**PSU **
**Graphics card **
…i need the cheapest possible option that lets me play games at 1920x1200 , at full effects.
What am i thinking :
i5 2500k + motherboard( ?? )
Gskill Sniper 2x4gb
HD7950 / GTX570
WD black
Nzxt gamma ( anything cheaper with good air flow ?? )
FSP 650 W 80+silver
any DVD writer
the thing is i as also looking at the 2700k and the soon to be launched 3820 , but i dont think i will get much performance increase ( in gaming ) so the 2500k , but ill the 2500k will bottleneck 7950 ?
PLease give links for purchase , with your suggestions .
GPU-HD7950 hasn’t been mentioned online by prime, smc or other sites,do call them and ask for it,it’d be around 28-30k-http://www.anandtech…-7950-review/10
CPU COLLER-Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO-2.1k[For Ocing your proccy]
Well there’s no use of getting i5 2500k if you aren’t getting good 10-12k mobo for ocing it,If you want to overclock theni5 2500k+Asus P8P67-M-9.5k is at least what you’d get.
If you only want to put 6-7k on the mobo then i’d suggest you get-
i5 2500-12.5k+Intel DH67BL-B3-5.6k,you won’t be able to oc this cpu but it’ll give you good enough performance comparing 2500k
Whatever horsepower your graphics card has , it does not perform up-to it’s full potential unless you club it with a good processor .
core i5 sandy-bridge at 3.33 GHZ is more than enough for gaming though .
But you should always go for an overclockable processor so that you are future-proofed (i.e if you feel the need you can overclock)
And since you mentioned that you want a high end system , Jakob suggested you most bang 4 buck system (pura vasool ! LOL !)
If you don’t want to spend that much on processor , then you can go for -
core i5 “2500” and not “2500k” (11k) + H67 mobo (6-7k) (non-overclockable and non-futureproofed)
core i5 2500k (~13k) + H67 mobo (6-7k) (non-overclockable because of motherboard but can be made overclockable by going with z68 or p67 mobo and hence future-proofed .
And yes , you are better off with a 1333 MHZ ram if you are going with a cheaper mobo .
unless you spend something like 12-13k for mobo that can support upto 2133mhz of ram frequency
if you are not willing to spend more in the board, no use getting a “k” processor or 1600 Mhz Memory.
Moreover, if you are planning for a GPU like 7950, i would suggest to get a better ( read bigger) cabinet than Gamma. Antec 300, CM 690, Corsair Carbide 400R are a few good VFM options.

CPU COLLER-Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO-2.1k[For Ocing your proccy]
Latest game titles are mostly gpu powered and there’s not much difference between K and non K proccy so i’d suggest you to get the second rig and save up the cash for HD7970,gaming wise this is the best option.[quote=“strategy, post:9, topic:199961”]
the thing is , i want the cheapest solution.
Don’t hijack threads like this,create a new one for detailed info of what you’d get.[quote=“Antidote, post:11, topic:199961”]
Im thinking of i5 2500 + intel h67 + HD7950 for my PC upgrade
