The weekend is here guys. Shoot your offers!

Sold the PC locally, @Crazy_Eddy please close the thread.

Edit: @Upsided I see you’re surprised. I got better offers on OLX than TE, lol. Sold it through OLX.

One person here wanted to exchange their 10th gen i9 and some mobo ram cooler with my combo for 25k. We have some top notch lowballing quality here.

That was pretty quick . how much did u sell the ddr5 1 stick for

Buyer was ready to pay 45k for the ram kit. I told him take the entire PC for 1.25L, he was happy to take it.

I did remove HDD from the original sale thread I had, and I was willing to sell it for 1.26L on the sale thread. So I got exactly how much I quoted for (excluding 1k for HDD).

And the buyer was an amazing person to deal with.

Tbh I did find people interested in the PC or ram+mobo+cpu combo for my ask price here too. But we couldn’t get to an agreement on shipping terms.

Hopefully you didn’t sell it to a reseller or dealer.

No, he wanted an upgrade. He was using 7600 with 16gb ram, hence was interested only in the ram first. But he does video and image editing so he felt 14900k would be a decent upgrade.

He had a 3060ti, so I asked him if he wanted to skip the GPU for 16k, since I got quite a lot of interest here for GPU only. He told me it’s worth atleast 20k, and I wasn’t sure people would buy it for 20k, so skipped that.

i doubt someone will give 20k for 3070 as only certain people would need it. In my area one is listed at 17k which is the price of used 3060. Someone was willing to give me a few months old 3060 msi for around 19k i didnt take it

Yeah exactly people here were ready to pay 16k. Buyer thought 16k he can get for his 3060ti, so I left it at there.

Guilty AF. Since you were taking offers, and looking for a downgrade, I had to start somewhere. In my defence it’s a 48lane HEDT processor, with 200 ~100GB/s memory bandwidth. Great for multi GPU setup and local inferencing, even when you have to load the model in DRAM. I paired it with (equal) DDR4 RAM and cooler because you won’t find those easily. And then added 25k on the top.

But my apologies as you are clearly offended. Will make a note to be careful with you in the future.

Around 94GB/s ig, 200GB/s is 8 channel (threadripper wx or EPYC)

Ah bro I didn’t want to name anyone (Unless someone really pissed me off, which you absolutely didn’t). I was not offended, I respectfully denied the offer IIRC.

I was just telling @Upsided a general thing I observed here. There were people shaming me in DM for not selling them RAM kit for 22-23k, so there’s that..

But what are you upgrading to @Typhon or did you already upgraded and isnt the time not that great for an upgrade?

4080, 13950hx, 2x16gb 5600mhz.

My home PC has 5700x, 6800xt and 2x16 3600Mhz. If the laptop performs better than that, then might sell that build too. Will wait to see how mobile 4080 does. (Don’t have very high expectations though, lol)

I have 5700xt so no need for any gaming rig as its doing 2k 100fps for cyberpunk currently, only looking for 3060 at extremely discounted price for testing ai things though i could use cloud or colab but yeah.

No no, I am not saying that to sell it to you. Just a continuation of “decluttering”. Will create a sale thread here and at OLX if I decide to sell. Haven’t decided it yet, since there I have a TV with 4k 144hz mini led, so might upgrade the GPU some time later.

Let’s see if this 4080 surprises me or not. Suppose to have 4070 desktop performance, which should be better than 6800xt. But the temps would be crazy, so might not put it to use for 4k 144.

Good stuff!

We’re kind of stuck in a little bubble here at TE with pricing.

Outside though, you just can’t find this kind of hardware, stores are simply not stocking higher-end components because of the pricing volatility. I got quoted 9k for 16GB 3200 DDR4 generic no-name DDR4 with no warranty as the cheapest available stick in the market — after asking in a bunch of different stores. Next best offer was 12k for a EVM stick.

It’s just brutal out there in the real world.

You have a X299 setup? Share photos (DM or another thread)! I love HEDT, at one point I had X79, X99 and X299 in my clusters.

Hahaha. I got these from a local fb marketplace last year. It’s paired with a RTX 6000 Pro and 2x 4090. Fiddling with fine tuning in free time. But the PCIe lanes bottleneck hard whenever the model undergoes gradient exchanges. Which is why I’m looking to upgrade to ver 5.0.

I’ll leave a pic, hope OP won’t mind. Case is Phanteks Enthoo Pro 2 Server Edition. Excuse the mess, functionality over form :grimacing::
