Compy foam tips vs Shure Olives

I was about to place an order for some new foam tips and thought I’d seek some advice before I went ahead and ordered them.

I was wondering which ones to go for and also hoping to hear from anyone who’s had firsthand experience with the Shure Olives.

I’ve used the comply T500 for a while now and they’re great. My only gripe with them is that they’re dirt magnets (irrespective of how clean your ears, hands and surroundings are). They’re really soft and don’t last very long, 3 to 4 weeks tops and replacing them that often would work out expensive.

From what I read the Shure foams last longer and are washable. These are however not as soft/comfortable as the comply tips. I’m sure the comply foams can be washed too, just not trying it till I get the new ones.

The best deal I could find on the Comply T500 foams were $15 + $5 shipping (5 pairs)

Westone Yellows @ $60 + shipping (pack of 100 - i.e. 50 pairs)

If any one has an opinion on which of the two to go for, alternatives (like the westone foams) or links to good deals … do post them :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

dont think any of the forum trolls have either of those, so dont hold your breath

I got the Shure Triflanges to use with my CK10. Pretty nice stuff, better than the Sony Hybrids I had.

Although, I think the foams are better and more comfy…
