Confusion over HD Tune results

I saw a lot in guys in the forum are using HD Tune results to convey the working status of their drives. By seeing this I also did a HD tune Error Scan to check my Laptop hard disk condition.

Basically i don’t know much about these tests and hardware issues.

First i ran the test in normal mode and the result is as follows

Then i ran the test in quick scan mode and the result is as follows

First of all is there any problem with my hard disk ???

If the red blocks indicate bad sectors then is the quick scan mode ignoring them simply ??

So how reliable is this tool that we are using as standard test on TE.

I find that many people are running this test in Quick scan mode for posting pics in market section.

^^ Yes your HDD is suffering from multiple bad sector issue.
Solution: backup and send it for RMA

Second: This tool is taken as base because it is light, fast, convenient and accurate, etc. Yes some member do post hdtune quick scan screenshot, but before buying the buyer should ask for the through scan one, its the buyers duty. But i see some regular seller gives through scanned screenshot.

my laptop is not even booting today. going for RMA tommorow

^^ sorry to hear that, have you backed up your data ??

no backup :frowning: i got only movies and some series. I am getting an external drive immediately after getting laptop from RMA.

Do u know anything about Redington India, how good are their warranty services.

^^ sory mate no idea about Toshiba RMA service :frowning: hope its good
