Copy pasted topics should have a separate category

Don’t take it the wrong way, brother. No one is asking you to stop posting. We all value your contributions that are organic and of your own making. Like you said you are 47, you’ve seen things develop over the years, you have a vast experience – this is all you need. Young and less experienced members will benefit from older and more experienced members’ insights. Try to focus on that.

That was not the intention at all. I would have muted you if I didn’t want to see your posts. We all want to see your own posts as you are very helpful.

Arey bhai…You need to take this as an request from members as they dont like the idea .

Your contributions are appreciated but not everyone is going to like everything you do .
This is fact of life .

You have to see this without taking it personal .

People here are not coitizing you they just expressing to see more on better quality content.
than random quantity over quality.

It truly is not in anyways against your overall contribution just small part of it which is little unwanted.
You see the point.

Its like Ordering Biryani which has nice flavoured Rice + good leg piece + nice dum aloo but that boil egg was not needed.

I appreciate your posts ,its not noise rather informative. Its not always possible to share ‘your experince’ when its a news or new topic that you find interesting.

This is nothing against anybody, and I hate to have this opinion,

But we may need to have downvotes.

Negative cheers maybe?

I know that can be abused to bully people, but that could be one of the ways forward.

Also, I am not saying this for my benefit, (I don’t care about leading the forum awards board - just for the sake of it - at all) but the awards should be based on interactions rather than post count for it to be more meaningful.

The ‘valued voice’ plaque that I got (not knowing it was being given at the time) is one of my most cherished possessions and sits front and center in my trophy cabinet.

You have to understand that it is nothing personal. Most members know your life story, and we salute your resilience. Nothing but good wishes.

This could have been directed towards anybody, but you have to understand the human psyche

You may not have meant to do this, but:

A few months ago, you suddenly went on an AI-generated thread rampage when we had the “most number of threads” contest, or whatever. You were called out and then stopped.

Now, when this whole cheers-member of the Month award was announced, which was won by @The_Eternal_Guest last month, you suddenly went on this copy-paste rampage,

Again, that may not have been your intention, but it would be natural for other members to feel otherwise.

I came to know about the member of the month on 20th of last month as I always use my phone to browse not PC.

Sometimes during evenings after 6pm I sit at my PC. Nowadays it’s becoming rare to sit at the PC.
My 7600 is touching 90c so not starting my PC until my all parts arrived and I get all parts reassembled in my new cabinet.

I also asked about that MSI cabinet but nobody answered and neither I can find any yt video about it anywhere.

I always turn to Digit or TE for buying any electronics and I take advices for other relatives also while they are buying any electronics from here only. Such is the impact of Digit and TE in my day to day life.

This is how it comes on my phone:

Again, two things:

  1. The reason for the doubt is the sudden onslaught. Since the migration to Discourse in June, it was quiet with realistic numbers, suddenly last month you went on a rampage of threads, so much so, you were sitting at 1.5k cheers, and the next person was sub-500.
  2. Creating this many threads and copy pasting from just using your phone is a little hard to believe

Again, that may not have been the situation, it’s just a matter of perspective, and nothing to be taken personally and emotionally by declaring I WILL NOT POST AGAIN

Take it as tough love from a community that appreciates your contributions. If not, they wouldn’t have bothered responding to you, and just muted you

It will show like this for me when I check on my posts.

When I copy and paste know, it will copy 2 times because I am on my phone so I edit it the 2nd time.

But since yesterday I will post only those which are absolutely needed only.

Otherwise I won’t post. Okay.

Well that day I did asked the guy what does he do and two members kinda poked me. I’m 100% sure the guy is behind trophies and points and that he openly asked about and was worried on losing his points for a few days. I bet these people are putting or showing this on their resume and landing some great job. I could understand if people work and loose a pay for a few days but these virtual points saga is obsession.

The same guy was pointed out on many occasionally earlier for AI generated long essay like responses and copy pasting random replies from mostly reddit.

We got nothing to do if this is what entertains him or gives him high or some satisfaction but I could sense desperation in him. I have already mentioned elsewhere how web-addicts people have become and how it is tough for them to come out of it without getting counselled.

Admins shall implement some AI logic to actually check responses and links, if they are copied from elsewhere and block such threads without earning anything. I know it is tough but definitely not impossible.

There are many other people contributing around but out of 10 new threads a day this guy creates 5-6 threads. Needless threads are created tbh.

I seriously miss the old forum which was truly meaningful.

Just one advise- get some real life unless this virtual world and points runs your house financially.

Yes a downvote will make sense and it should be implemented in such a way that one down vote will cost 5 points while one upvote will earn only 1 point.

The old forum point system was fair imho. The new system has created a sort of race.

But again why even fall for the virtuality is the Q. Obsession and desperation are the only words I can think of.

Again, it’s very evident you were cheers farming. It’s fine, but at least earn it the right way. A person who doesn’t care about cheers or not keeping a count wouldn’t post this:

I was asking about cheers because my score remained the same for a week and even @N-TEch.11 bro replied that his has also remained same since a week.

I was looking at these:

Because I am always on my mobile.

Bro my comment was towards the site going down every odd night.

The point system might need some serious rectification or reconsideration as many have pointed out though I’m not bothered about it. The site still got some itsy-bitsy issues and I’m not comfortable with the new interface tbh its all cluttered to my preferences. Any issues I spot I report in the dedicated thread or tag renegade but he already got a lot in his plate so he might fix or wont be able to cater to every fix or requirements.

Seems the night downtime thing has gotten fixed.
