32bit Core Temp
64bit Core Temp

Doesnt work for the latest i7 mobile cpu’s at least. Had to use the new released build of speedfan for these.

Great find and better than Real Temp…

Download Real Temp from:Real Temp - CPU temperature monitoring

i am using HWmonitor is this good enough to stay with or leave?

HW monitor and core temp displays temps in varied values i.e. hw temps are somewhat higher. People hence prefer core temp.

so in short i should shift to core temp.

I have downloaded the core temp 32 bit from here, it is working good. I discover a great feature in core temp that it gives you protection against over heating of the core parts of computer. You just enable the option to avoid over heating. I just say it is good app

You have to keep experimenting. Yesterday I busted my dear good old loyal phenom proccy sadly.
For it core temp was accurate.
Then I replaced the proccy with another phenom quad and for here HW monitor seems good. I tally bios temp and the app temps to decide.

It still a debate as to which one is accurate. Some say bios displays raw and very sensitive temps and app derive it from various sensors from mobo. While others argue the average is taken and displayed with some + - variance.

But maximum public prefer coretemp.
