Corsair unveils 90% efficient power supplies - TechSpot News
**up to **90% energy-efficiency, 80 Plus Silver certification.
Gr8 post, I wish Corsair kill TX series now.
Good news any idea when those coming to india. I really want those.
some would still prefer TX but yeah with this efficiency, it should die. such a mess to manage cables in TX
Harocp review testing doesnt mention above 90% efficiency dwindles between 83-88. Nevertheless has very low ripple and outstanding dc output quality. Needs appopriate pricing over here.
yup,..the modular aspect also works in favor of the HX series.
regarding price,..i don’t think they are priced too expensively considering the features.
i absolutely see no reason to continue producing the TX series now.
yet again great PSUs from corsair.
i think the prices are right and i wish to get my hands on one when they arrive
also remember corsair gives 5 year warranty so it is beneficial to pay the price even if it’s on the higher side
The HX850 comes with 7 year warranty
neat stuff, i wonder when our dealers get their hands on it
Wonder if they will release lower capacity varients? Something like 450W?
Pricing will be around 7-12k as per Techtree…
@ 7k it’ll be totally awesome!
as it has 7 years warranty, it’ll run perfectly for even modern cards 5 years from now!
awesome!! nice to see a 90% efficient PSU from Corsair now, I think Corsair will soon become a major player in PSUs manufacturing like Silverstone and all
hey but isnt TX series darn cheap??
i think HX 620 costs same as TX 750 = 7k… No?
i luve tx series for their price.
Tx series can only compete with hx for price.
Hx850 oem is again its regular, CWT but using another model DSG series. The unit doesnt deliver 90% efficiency.
TX750 is also 8k now, Rahul1059 purchased last week.
7k seems almost too good to be true for any of these PSUs.
according to Techtree:
i am guessing the price will be around 9-10k for the 750 and 11k+ for the 850
i absolutely agree with this. with the new PSU,coupled with the vx450, Corsair will monopolize the entry level PSU segment.
I feel Corsair should come up with a 350-300W varient for HTPC and very basic PCs for around 2k. That wud be really good… or perhaps lower the price of CX400W.
Looks like Corsair dropped the multiple 12v rails from most of the PSUs below 1000w range, both the TX and the new HX850/750 has only one rail.
