Cost of 1GB or 2GB SD cards?

I’m heading out today or tomorrow to pick up an SD memory card - any idea about the current cost of them in the market, primarily Bangalore? I’ve never really bought memory locally so don’t want to get ripped off

Thanks!

a sandisk microsd card with a sd adapter costed me 700 a few months back. i think it shouldnt be more than this.

That’s cool, I assume that was 1GB though right?

iirc, 2GB was for ~1.1k

I got Kingston 1GB microSD with adapter for 700rs for my phone..

Thanks for the responses guys… going to look for that SD card today, let you know what I settled with

FYI, 1GB microSD is 450 bucks while the 2GB is 750 bucks… both Transcend.

Be careful with the sandisk cards, most of them seems to be fake.

Buying it from a known dealer, and he’s not the type of person to screw someone over  However, I will be checking if it’s a fake… a friend linked me to a guide a while ago.

Got a Kingston 2gig SD Card for 900. Read speeds are low though, 6-7MB/s :frowning: Avoid all kingstons with broken packing. Saw a Ultra 50x? card in a normal Kingston packing for the same price.

which one did you get ? SDC?? how do you know its a fake?

hehe, Ultra 50x for same price? that sounds like a fake!

Dunno, some turquoise blue sticker and blue card. works fine, happy with it :face_with_tongue:

Rio, any idea about normal 1gb, 2gb SD cards rates?

Those were the normal 1GB and 2GB card rates… I picked up the 2GB in the end for 780 bucks (750 + VAT). I don’t think you’ll find the faster 133x and 150x SD cards locally, at least I didn’t.

^ Thanks man.. i thought you meant microSD prices in your earlier post

Over the phone I was told microSD but I preferred the regular SD… prices are same for both btw and the microSD’s come with an adapter
