Today i received my first IEM, which is kz castor pro. The sound is mind-blowing and all but when i put the iem into my ear canal the right one make chick chick sound while inserting it to my ear canal. Left one doesn’t, no other issue i noticed… did i received a defective?
Also in comparison with my realme buds 2 wired earphone (which is really good), the upgrade is only noticable on the depth of the song, otherwise my 7 years old realme buds 2 gives overall clear output, the bass where it makes clear difference.. kz castor pro have more controlled bass, and nice instrument seperation.. maybe i need to get more high quality music, currently i am running yt music premium..
It makes a sound when you put it in the ear? Is it only when the IEM is powered? If so, have you tried it with another device? I am guessing more towards just ear tip rubbing against skin or something like a wound in your ear.
Audiophile hobby is a sink hole. Don’t expect too much and don’t spend more trying to find the unicorn. Unless you have money to burn or you are actually interested it in the hobby then do whatever you want. Coming from someone who bought R70x and zen can as first headphone just to try it out after buying a chu and chu 2, using Tidal as well. Just try one at a store or borrow a friend’s and yours with a downloaded flac. Upgrades comes with diminishing returns.
Try changing the tips. I use the Castor Pro too, and it happens when I switch to the bigger sized tips.
For platform, I have switched from Spotify to Apple music and that on itself has made a noticeable change.
