We know tht TERACOPY software copies @ fies very fast rate…

but i have listened from some of my friends tht it my cause harmfull to HDD: because it runs drive @ hi speed for copying the files....
So my question is , is true????:huh: and may harmful to HDD???????
oh come on, everyone knows ur not suppose to run such applications !
dont ever run teracopy at max speeds! It might spin ur hdd upto like 10000rpm and melt the whole damn thing.
No re!! its not like it puts the HDD in overdrive to copy the data!! 
Its perfectly safe! those things that u hear are baseless myths!!

i had bin using it…untill a friend complained that teracopy prolly corrupted some of his file transfers…
stopped it then…
i bit slower is fine with me than woes later…
Been using Teracopy at office for quite a while now. Never faced a problem.
using teracopy since quiet a long (6 months) ..never had any file transfer issue .and my HDD’s are also quiet healthy

i use it on all my PC’s with my eyes closed. No problems whatsoever.
Have used it since last 2 years on Windows XP 32bit, Vista 32 & 64bit, Windows 7 32 & 64 bit without any issues et all…
Primary usage on Vista x64 though… 
lolz… i cannot beleive it… You think Teracopy lets u copy files faster than ur HDD’s transfer rate… thats plain stupid…

Eh, teracopy is completely hassle free.
i have been using it since 6 months or so
and no problems at all
y wud it damage hdds
and i personally dont think theres much of a speed diff while transferring files using tera copy or default

How much buffer do you keep in TeraCopy while copying files??
Do you keep the buffer to the highest??
omg i was wondering the same thing infact i was thinking about starting a thread too so can some one please give any difinitive answers instead sarcastic shrugs :huh:
increasing or decreasing the Buffer size doesnt make any real difference to the transfer rate ,atleast ive never noticed any
Also the transfer rate of Tera Copy is almost the same as Windows Vista SP1 x64 which i use.. i get anything between 63-67 mbps.
Been using since a long time , no issues at all.
Basically i feel it is a better copy,move handling program [esp transfers involving loads of small files]
than windows default dont care about speeds at all.
^I always get more than 100MBps on Vista Ultimate SP1 x64
i keep buffer max 3MB
I keep all at default values no probs so far
get v2.0 beta 4 , no buffer handling issues
