The pilot phase will focus on connecting government and tribal schools, Aaple Sarkar centres and PHCs; enhancing disaster response communications and coastal surveillance; supporting education and healthcare delivery through high-speed satellite connectivity; building local capacity and training programmes for state agencies and communities.
I wonder how much time it’ll take for rollout to normal people.
This doesn’t seem sustainable unless Starlink is willing to subsidize the costs for Indians or unveil cheaper hardware + plans. Besides airlines/shipping/transportation where there might be an edge in speeds/reliability over existing alternatives, I really don’t see why anyone in here would want to pay a lot more for a lot less.
Unless of course, you’re like a Gavin Belson needing to connect from rural Wyoming where Jio/Airtel and everything else is non-existent.
