Encounter with Noobs !!!!

So this has happened with almost all of us at one point or the other. That is encountering a total noob (in terms of tech of course). So list down you encounters with total noobies

To start with,

In My office i had sent a video over bluetooth to a colleague. I even helped him start the bluetooth on his phone. Then at night he calls me and says that the video he deleted by mistake and can i send it again using bluetooth.

Lollzz :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

This happened few years back when a friend of mine said that “Tereko pata hai ek software hai jisse apun log CD-ROM mein bhi DVD Read kar sakte hain”

yeah. happened in an office of mine - there was no dvd writer in office and someone had got a blank dvd from outside. they were trying to write it in a dvd-cdwriter combo drive thinking it was a dvd writer. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

lol…reminds me of my college days(12th grade) in Computer Science.

First day in the practical classes,All the geeky girls where in the front row.Sir explaining about Mouse, keyboard,Windows etc.

At the end of the lecture,

Sir: " Now all of you shut down your computers "

Now all the front row girls bent and shut down the PC by turning off the POWER switch from behind…LOL…LMAO.

All the 7-8 PC went Black in just 2-3 sec.

Sir:“OMG !!!..not like that”

it’s ok yar.. i tend to be biggest noob at things i don’t know. :face_with_tongue:

lol similar thing: the first computer i used was a mac of 1990 era. lol we didn’t know where the shutdown option is, so we were compelled to switch off directly. And that was me. Hahaha :face_with_tongue:

Well what about the cops (cant remember which city), when told to confiscate computers, just picked up ONLY the monitors & left.

oh hahahaha :rofl::rofl:

i’m doing final year in CS engineering and a fellow female classmate asks..

“where is the ‘->’ key in the keyboard?”

This make me remember a similar incident. In a case cops got a floppy as evidence, and as usual they attach every evidence to a file. So they punched in between the floppy to attach it to the file lol.
Court declared the suspect as not guilty due to lack of evidence.

This happened recently at my office.
our office is located in 1st floor of a residential apartment.
A woman along with her daughter(teen) came to me and gave me a phone number.
some guy was annoying her daughter and she wants to trace who he is with our computers. :face_with_tongue:
also without any doubt that they were tracing so to him.
i explained her that it is not possible and suggested to assist the police.
she didn’t liked the idea and looked at us as useless office and we all were noobs. Crazy

Internet Explorer ki CD hai kya? | Gaurish Sharma Live

Something similar happend with me also(2-3 years back)…that time a guy asked me to sent some new songs via bluetooth…interesting thing is that…At that time i was in chennai and he was in Kerala, that tooo at night 1:30 or something…lolllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

the most common case is when someone asks to upload a pic from your PC in forums like this, we will see :

C:\My Folder\whatever.jpg

what say? Some are confused about internet.

Many such cases hppen with me.

I told one of my friend that I got a new gaming pc with an 8800gt 512mb and told him that the card costs 14k and he “said arrey maine toh 512mb ka card 3k mein liya, tere koh toh dealer ne loot liya”

I tried to explain him about the difference but he would not listen.

studying in class 9th i have faced this situation a lot of time!

they say-compress the 8 gb file to 2 gb so as to copy paste it in a 2 gb pen drive:rofl:

OMG hahaha!!

lol
nice share

Ok … I posted this in the AIDW thread a while back. Its too good to be missed. You guys have to read the full conversation. Brunette is our friend on FE and as you will find out, she is one of a kind. :face_with_tongue:

Tons of them, but something that happened recently … a senior at work was looking at the monitor, neck twisted at a weird 90 degrees angle … I went to see his monitor and saw a PDF file onscreen … only, oriented 90 degrees clockwise from reading. Told him he need not sprain that neck and the file can be rotated 90 degrees counter clockwise to read as normal

^ omg

Reminds me of the so-called blog post a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, where the poster asks about what does he need to play a particular game and the response is, a video card … pat he asks back, where do I download it from?
