Excellent Experience with PCStudio.in (Ankit Infotech), But Never Buying TeamGroup RAM Again

Just wanted to share my recent experience with PCStudio.in and TeamGroup in case it helps others shopping for DDR5 memory.

I built a new AM5 system for my brother recently and decided on the TeamGroup T-Create Expert DDR5-6000 CL30 32GB kit (2x16GB) since it was QVL-listed and seemed to have solid specs on paper. Unfortunately, that’s where the good part ended:

First Kit: One of the two sticks was completely dead-on arrival. The system wouldn’t POST at all and would just get stuck with the CPU and DRAM debug LEDs lit.

I tested it extensively across two separate AM5 systems with the latest BIOS and even tried a beta BIOS, but no luck.

So, I contacted PCStudio, and they were extremely professional, and they immediately issued a replacement kit without any hassle. Once they received the kit, they too confirmed that one of the sticks was indeed faulty.

Second Kit: Sadly, the replacement kit had the exact same issue. Again, one of the sticks was defective, failing on two different systems, while the Kingston kit on the other system worked flawlessly on both. At this point, it was clear this wasn’t a coincidence. It was a quality control problem with TeamGroup.

Once I returned the second kit, PCStudio tested that one as well and again confirmed one stick was bad.

After talking to PCStudio, they offered to replace the RAM with a G.Skill Flare X5 DDR5-6000 CL30 kit instead, which was priced a bit higher (roughly ₹1000). They asked me if I’d be okay covering the difference in cost, which seemed totally fair given how much time and money (in shipping costs) they’d already spent helping me. I agreed, and they shipped it out immediately once they received the defective kit.

I installed the G.Skill kit, and finally everything worked flawlessly on the first try.

Feedback on PCStudio:

  • Very impressed with their service and will for sure be using them again in the future when ordering parts.

  • Provided a no-hassle replacement as soon as they verified the problem.

  • Didn’t charge me anything for return shipping.

  • Stayed in touch at every step of the process and even got in touch with the courier when they were delaying the delivery.

  • Went out of their way and helped me switch brands when it was clear TeamGroup was the problem.

Feedback on TeamGroup:

  • Two separate kits defective in exactly the same way.

  • Consistent issues with the lower serial number stick on multiple systems.

  • Clearly a quality control disaster. Will probably never buy anything from them again.

Agreed. I’m also just going to stick to those two brands in the future. The reason why I went with TeamGroup this time in the first place was because it was competitively priced and was on the QVL, and since RAM is one of the least likely components to fail, I figured it would be alright. Lesson learned I guess.

Murphy’s law in play.

I also have 2x16GB teamgroup t-create ram kit 6000cl30. It’s working fine I also ran memtest86 whole night passed 4/4 no issues, i have a good experience with teamgroup till now.

If you ordered teamgroup ram through amazon, only way to RMA is to send it back to taiwan and bear the courier charges. Pcstudio did good on their part for replacing those faulty kits. Yup, get corsair, crucial or gskill.

I got Gskill replacment approx after 9 yrs of use from PrimeAbGb.

damn i also have same rams but working fine, hope it wont die didnt know they have no service centers in india then why are all selling their brand here

Their RMA is handled by ACRO Engineering Company, it was a hassle-free experience to RMA Gskill RAM. I don’t think it matters if they have service center here or not.
