Motive: It will actually get people power in without actually letting anyone off the hook. its a superb idea to get people involved.

the plan is to have 3-4 political parties under the leadership of gmod or mod or staff member.
they can recruit 5 other friends. we put all this in a leaderboard.
we have elections on site every 2 or 3 months.
the party that wins will moderate the forums. As the people elect the mods, they can’t or shouldn’t complain about anything. Plus we actually have very active guys that way.
So basically the guys party that wins can control while others will umm sit in opposition. Its not that bad if you ask me. Democracy at its best…
and if they do a bad job, we can have no confidence vote.

Haha i can see it now Golden frag and co aka kidoman, virus and couple of alias ids form their own party. Knoughtyd and the othes have their own and TE get pwned . Sorry to day but no-go atleast from my side We could have unions(like gamespot forums does) as such but vesting power into these ppl isn’t my idea of fun.

in that case, i’ll become the president (of the entire forum ofcourse and not just president of that party).

Well yeah there are drawbacks but good aspects too to it. Thats why we have asked for public opinion to streamline the rules and all before it can be put in and implemented.
Alright guys you all must have seen and observed how the different staff members at TE work. What is their style of moderating and replying to posts. Which sections are they more inclined towards.
Now based on all that we want to run a survey to gauge the level of interest in this particular idea. So please answer a few questions and also any suggestions that you have.
Under which gmod would you like to contest the election. Or would you like to form your own party.
Which sections would you like to moderate.
Which other fellow members would you like to see in your party.
What do you think should be the ideal tenure for the party.
What changes, if any, would you try to make towards the working of TE should you win the elections.
Since this is election the popularity is the only thing that gets you ahead and there is no need to be soft towards any gmod or fellow member. Moreover this survey may be used to decide the nominations so please be careful with what you choose.
