Tata 1mg for more than 6 months now… previously i took truebasics and then went on to muscleblaze, but i was not convinced about their product quality so gave up on them after tata 1mg products launched…no fishy burps or any kinda smell…my opthalmologist advised me fish oil pills for dry eyes…it helped a lot… I had a 0.75 number in one of my eye which reduced to 0.5 after starting fish oil supplements…
Currently all my food supplements i have switched to tata 1mg…trust their products and quality control…
Muscle nectar. Simply the best. Did some research a few years ago before unboxhealth even came out with ratings and it was the best bang for buck option too.
I took multiple fish oil supplements for 2-3 years with varying diets, lifestyles, etc: it had negligible effect on the blood reports. It had no effect on how I felt (mind & body).
Don’t know why people will continue throwing their money into supplements that cause no effects … oh wait I just remember, people still take whey proteins LOL
I avoid getting supplements in India. I am just paranoid. Get them through iHerb instead. You pay customs and everything up front but you get genuine stuff. They do run promotions every now and then so there are sweet deals that you can grab.
For Fish Oils, you can look into Sports Research, Life Extension, NOW Foods, Solgar, Doctors Best.
Very offtopic, but can’t we just eat more FISH (real question), or cooking the fish alters the compostion of nutrients derived from it, and how fish oil caps are diffrent from consuming a fish ?
I don’t trust local brands to be honest not even with their testing certs since they are still local.
I solely rely on Consumer Labs testing to decide what supplement brand to use.
IFOS is good but the thing is alot fish oil supplements add fillers make.
For eg - Swisse claims 1.8g Triglycerides (they don’t mention which types. Good is MCT) but the EPA + DHA is only 1.2g so what is the additional 600g being added? Nothing is listed plus the sources are not listed i.e. what type of fish.
For comparison, Sports Research Total Omega 3 supplement offers 2.2gm Omega-3 and literally list every single source that makes up the 2.2g (Salmon, Krill, Pollock, Calanus). No fillers. It’s IFOS as well. More expensive obviously but much much better quality.
I mean brands such as muscle nectar, muscleblaze have been passed by trustified. Swisse is an australian brand that is now available in india and is ifos certified which is the gold standard for omega 3.
Yes thats the best to be honest provided you eat fatty fish at least thrice a week. I eat fish but probably once in 2 weeks. Its mostly chicken everyday.
Yes, I agree, If your aim is to achieve optimal blood markers then focus on improving your diet, exercising regularly, manage stress and sleep before considering any supplements
Good choice. However, about fish burps, I notice I get them (not extremely smelly ones, but I can certainly note the difference) if I’ve not had any solid meals prior to taking the capsule just a protein shake or something.
