Thanks, when I purchased I deliberately took 1st gen as reviews for 2nd gen were not so great.
Ohh I see. What was the major talking point? The gen 1 had natural with slight v shaped tuning. I expected them to change it to close to meta tunning or improve the treble region as so many similar if not better iems have launched since their release.
According to my research of user reviews: Gen 1 had a kind of universal appeal due to more pleasing sound (like warm sound, thumping bass, smooth highs). Gen 2 they just made it more analytical (controlled bass, higher resolution of details, ear fatiguing highs). So gen 2 had more of hit and miss kind of reviews.
With what player you guys listen from? With a C to 3.5mm converter and mobile?
i had a phone with 3.5mm jack till recently (poco x6). Also USB-C to 3.5mm works as well. More serious audiophiles also use usb-c amp / dacs like fiio, etc.
If you’re phone has dolby atmos or if you’re rooted (use viper4android), these iem’s make a very good combo. Otherwise no sound enhancement is also great for purists
