no paddy, this amp is cleaner and more powerful than the 1004. numbers are misleading.
i have used both! this is very refined and smooth sounding!
frank boy… where does this one rate with the 75.4 ?? I am planning an upgrade.. 
hrishikesh. if the 75.4 is working fine, then i say no need to spend the extra bit on this.
it is no doubt, way better than the 75.4, but you wont notice too much of a difference if you compare the 2 on average speakers.
i had the electras that time, and i could feel a difference in the smoothness and crisp power delivery. the jbl felt strained whereas the ground zero felt at home and highly refined, pushing the same amount of power.
mind you, the 75.4 is not over rated in terms of power, but the 120MK2 is surely under rated. it does much more than 75x4, and thats proof, since i have used both these amps for sustained periods of time!
