[Galaxy S Vibrant] Not registered on network

I had unlocked it around 1-2 months back. Everything was working flawlessly. One fine day, I just rebooted it and then afterwards SIM is not getting detected anymore. As I put my working SIM card in it, and it says ‘Not registered on network’.

I thought it got network locked again. So I did factory reset & used the same standard method to unlock it again but no luck this time. Seems it’s bricked.. can anyone please confirm this? Anyone else facing the same issue? Any workaround?

I’m on stock 2.1. would appreciate any help.. thanks… !!!

PS: I got it through eBay, so it’s impossible to get it replaced from Samsung? No bill and box :frowning:

How did u unlocked it.Did you use Galaxy S Unlocker??

Yes, https://market.android.com/details?id=com.helroz.galaxysunlock

check your IMEI, it may have been corrupted.

BTW did you took backup of your EFS folder?

@big byte If he has used the above app then backup of EFS is created automatically.

I also guess your IMEI might have got corrupted. In that app there is a option to revert back to default.Did you tried using that option.

Yes, that was the issue. The IMEI was different from what is there under the battery. Followed [HOW TO] /efs Folder backup + Restore NV_DATA.BIN - xda-developers this guide and restored the IMEI number and unlocked the phone using the Helroz unlock tool. All set.

Thanks you…
