Gamer's Nexus Investigation on RAM Prices

An odd dilemma where two sticks (64gb) is not enough, three sticks (96gb) is just odd looking so you go with four sticks (128gb).

But hey, room to grow!

In actuality I downsized the workloads that this was originally designed for.

That would be so cool, I’d love to be part of SETI.

This started off as as a way to earn money by downloading those type of android apps in vm’s which then shifted to downvoting my enemies on reddit to now where I let other companies use my hardware to scrape the internet with their own software with a “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy.

All traffic goes out through tor so that I’m protected from whatever these companies are doing.

Basically I give them ssh access to a console with internet.

People use it to buy shoes.

edit: the setup

The companies charge their customers $10 per gb and pay me $0.15 per gb, while I pay airtel $0.0015 per gb plus my electricity bill.

Likely those customers resell those shoes for $100 or more over msrp.

It’s a fascinating study in trickle-down economics where each layer has their own markup and liability/risk that they’re comfortable with.
