I’m looking to build/buy a PC purely for a racing sim. The games I’ll be playing are iRacing and rFactor 2. Both of them are very light on graphic requirements but I would love to drive on high res (1080p or more) at 60+ fps. And won’t mind some buffer.
My budget is around Rs 50-70k for the system. Excluding peripherals.
Been out of the PC scene for many years so came here for advice

Yes. Wheel and display etc. is there. Just need the system.
I looked up laptops but it seems thermal throttling would be an issue. Will stick to PC.
do you already play or just got the wheel? what model is it?
I used to professionally race cars so always been a sim racer. Haven’t been in the scene for the past 4 years and preparing for a comeback. Thought sim racing would be the best way to get back in action.
I currently have a G29 which will be upgraded to a Fanatec system after a couple of months. Will be using the sim on a TV.
If it is possible go for VR setup. That will greatly improve the experience.
@@bssunilreddy Please suggest a reasonable complete VR Ready racing rig … Fold-able seat or something..

As much as I love the promise of VR (having tried the best consumer products) it is not very comfortable for regular use. Definitely cannot drive for an extended time on an online race.
I am considering a higher spec for a 3 screen setup. The immersive view is important. Ready to increase the budget. Would the spec below work or we need something higher? I’m definitely not going to drive 3 screens at 4k each but 1080p minimum would be good.
Also, monitor/TV, kb+mouse and UPS budget is separate. Doesn’t have to be a part of this spec.

Need to close on mother board. Any good alternatives to the MSI 570 Gaming Pro? I can go slightly higher on the budget for it.
Please don’t go with MSI because their RMA is worse.

Will drop MSI definitely.
They have changed RMA partner now, it is being handled by kaizen. It is much better than earlier.
It’s not about RMA partners but their greed I mean MSI s greed.
MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC has been manufactured using less bios memory while the same motherboard by MAX nomenclature uses larger bios memory there by is more stable than its older sibling because of personal experience.
So I got a sealed piece from RMA and sold it off & bought the Asrock B550 series mobo and it is rock solid. No more naatak and no more head banging or sending them to RMA.
So I suggest in order of preference and price
Asus > Asrock > Gigabyte > MSI etc
