Good C2D motherboard with DDR3 support ?

Iam new to this forum.I currently have the following spec::

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750
Intel DG33FB
2GB DDR II RAM
Zebronics PSU
Nvidia 8400 GS

I just wanna upgrade my motherboard now,as i want to move to DD3 and PCI E x16 2.I will upgrade my CPU later and GFX later.

PLS suggest me a good motherboard in DDR III category (Should be Cheaper).

lol that’s totally a FAIL move. because C2D cannot make any good use of DDR3. Specially the E6750. And the PCIE 2.1 is nothing important until you have a GTX 395 which you don’t.

Upgrade in this order:

PSU
GPU
CPU & Mobo & RAM

Please mention your requirements: Gaming or Programming or Entertainment PC or Encoding/Rendering etc. and your budget for the upgrade.

Gaming .I will upgrade my pc with GTX 260.Are there are speed difference b/w PCI express 2 and 2.1 with gtx 260?

^^Nops, no difference.

Incase you plan to move to GTX 260, you need a good power supply first. else you may risk you GPU, HDD..

Hence:

Buy a VX450 for rs. 4k

Buy a MSI GTX 260 TWIN FROZR edition for 11.5k

no need to change proccy and mobo as of now.

One more Q.I might buy 4890.Can Corsair VX450 can do well with it.Otherwise pls recommend me a PSU under 5k

GlacialPower 650AA will do just fine for you then. Price: 4.5k-4.8k

(PS: Dont buy any other PSU without consulting TE. Wattage isnt everything.)

Add another 2 Gigs of RAM, Along with Sapphire HD 4870 @9k plus Corsair VX550 @5.8k (if you can stretch) though GlacialPower 650AA will do fine

There is not much difference b/w HD 4870 & GTX 260 C216.

Still, Go Green if you can manage another 1.5k for Palit one [Palit GTX 260 C216 @ 10.5k]

VX550 is simply overpriced guys

Pls do not go for a VX550

If you are gonna buy a HD4870 then a Corsair VX450 is sufficent @ 4K

off topic but is power color hd4850 any good? coz it sells for just 6.5k whille the sapphire goes for arnd 8k.
