Google Gemini Offer: Free 18-Month Pro Plan for Jio Users

I already have a Google One plan for 200 gigs for a year which Expires in March. Claiming this offer means no refund from the old plan but its a jump.

Update: Just switched the plan, No payment details were for me since I already had a sub, not sure how is it for people who dont have a plan.

For customers aged 18-25, turned 26 this year and this made me feel old

Turning 26 in 3 months lol.

I’m turning 26 this year too😭

This offer will be rolled out in stages for all JIO users and not only 18-25 year bracket. The requirement will be users who are active on an unlimited 5G plan of 349 and above. Users must continuously maintain an active 5G plan for the entire duration of the offer to keep accessing Google Gemini offer benefits.

Got the offer and activated on a JIO SIM user above 18-25 year bracket.

So it seems rolled out for all JIO Users.

Oh missed the offer by 15 years!

18 month plan got activated just now. Using via Jio sim card.

I am on the Jio Postpaid legacy plan, Rs 299. I still see only the Register Interest banner. Guess I am not eligible, and might need to bump to the Rs 349 plan. I never hit the data usage cap, so no real benefit in bumping the plan other than this.

I was on ₹666 plan previously but now on ₹899 plan because for the 90 days so I got I think.

I also used cheapest plan with only 6GB data but this isn’t enough for me so went with large plan now.

My phone pe needs internet right.

Lol i also saw the interest banner yesterday and clicked on it. But as I’m on 189 plan I’m quite confident I’ll never get this offer. Not that i care anyway. You are already paying for it indirectly if you are opting for higher plans than your actual requirement.

For people already on a 5G plan, its basically free for them.

i am a 3599 yearly plan, i got the 18 months Gemini pro now,

the best thing is 2TB storage and Gemini talk back is good, but image generation is not good,

i think perplexity is best ai app right now

Anyone who’s using this free Gemini Pro plan with 2 TB storage, Google Drive also has a desktop app which when installed would give you direct access to your cloud storage on your PC.

It would show up like a network drive on file explorer/finder. You can directly access it.

Especially useful for Macs, turning your 256 GB MacBook Air to 2 TB lol.

Not sure about Mac, but if you open/offline anything in google drive it uses your C drive space to cache/store the files.
