I want to get a PC for college-level rendering models and playing decent games. I found these two PCs here:
1st one: Total cost 38k INR or 431 USD (including a monitor)
Case: Corsair Spec Delta
Motherboard: MSI B450M Pro VDH Max
Processor: Ryzen 5 3600
Graphics Card: Galax GTX 1660S 6GB RAM
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM HDD
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000MHz (8GB x 2)
PSU: Deepcool PK550D
Monitor: LG 22-inch (1080p, AMD FreeSync)
SSD: Silicon Power 256GB NVMe
2nd one: Total cost 35k INR or 404 USD
Processor: Ryzen 7 2700X (8 cores, 16 threads)
Graphics Card: GTX 1660
RAM: 16GB 3200MHz RGB RAM
Storage: 128GB SSD
PSU: 650W
Case: RGB Cabinet (Ant Esports)
I found out that the Ryzen 7 2700X is very old for today. Can it help in rendering and playing games like co-op and multiplayer ones? (Not a fan of AAA ultra graphics here.)
PS: I lack enough knowledge about compiling components and checking compatibility to avoid bottlenecks. If these builds are not good based on your advice, then I will go for the following build:
Alternative Build: Total cost 30k INR or 346 USD
Processor: Intel i5-10400F
RAM: 16GB (8GB x 2)
Motherboard: B510M
Case: A decent case
PSU: 600W
SSD: 256GB SSD
(Optional): Second-hand GTX 1660 for 7k INR or 80 USD.
Are you based in India or abroad? Asking because of the USD mentioned in every build. If you’re buying abroad, might be able to suggest better options.
Also, do you have peripherals like monitor and any other components that you would like to reuse or you want the whole build with monitor and GPU under 40k?
The ryzen motherboard itself can last you long and have better upgrade path than b510m.. maybe you can put 5800x3d later on and instantly gain i9 12900k gaming performance
it was a misunderstanding after posting the forum i got to know this site also indian users ( there are less when i reach out ), my bad
i do not as of now have a monitor for pc, currently using imac. i have every other thing, also i wont have any problem if monitor was not included in that build. just want a pc but saw the deal with monitor.
If you pair this with a used GPU like the 1660 Super at 7-8k then the whole build comes to 40k. Probably the best bang for your buck you can build right now.
Get second opinions on this build and suggestions about any changes to the parts from others here.
Thank you for your time and effort. Meanwhile, I found an online seller who sells RX 5600-XT for 8k INR. I think this card will go great with your preferred i5 12th gen. What do you say?
I checked for bottleneck and it was not concerning.
