Reinstalling might fix it, its just a bad install copy.

bad install or directx conflict…reinstall both of em.

Could be a dead/dying graphics chip too. Or just a badly coded game :face_with_tongue: .

same thing even aft re-installing. i think i have direct x 9c. it’s not a coding/game problem. theres something wrong with the graphics card. i’ve tried altering the graphics settings on the game, and nothing happened.

^^A graphics corruption, quite possible the chip mite mite b dying…check with another game and confirm.

I hope your laptop has xp & directx 9c november 2008 update installed

its most prolly a directx prob..

Can you try turning off the Pedestrians & then check if it helps? I had tried this once with Midtown Madness once & it worked.

tht game is way old…running on dx8 :face_with_tongue:

my laptop was bought last february. i’m running halo on it with only minor issues. it has xp on it and has direct x 9c - i think  i’ll see if i can upload another screenshot. thx guys

I had same issues, with my onboard Geforce 2, when i used to play MM2 :frowning:

But i updated the game and all issues were solved

Try updating the game the update deals with launch n gfx related issues

Sorry for the O/T, I thought someone dig up an old thread :face_with_tongue:

When I tried running Midtown Madness on my PIII , 64 MB RAM when it came out, I could not run it @ high settings. I had to be content with Road Rash :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
