Hagibis Mac M4 Mini Dock

Video Update

The two other networks are networks in the neighbouring homes. One beside (70ft away - same level) and another opposite (100ft away - a level higher)

NOTE:
Please Look at @@rajneeshrana 's post. I am not currently facing any issue - but I would still say, please be aware there there might be an issue depending on the placement of the router. I have not faced any issues either at my work place or at home - but my testing has been limited owing to the limited points I have to test.

I have looked at reviews, and have not found too many mentions of it. It has largely been reviewed positively.

Bought for use at home, but ended up using the Mac more at work. So this didn’t see much use.
Only one USB jack (left most), has even seen use. All other ports and jacks at the front are certified virgin.

Though there are two USB C ports at the back, it works without external power. I don’t know why they have given the other power port. That has also been unused, except for once when I thought it needed power.

I tested the NVME enclosure with a 2tb drive and it works without hitches. Installed most of the apps on the external drive, and never had ani issues with it at all.

so this works as a ssd enclosure and usb hub, right?

  1. what speed where you getting with this on ssd?
  2. Do we need to add a separate power source for 5V/2A port?

@@princeoo7

I didn’t really check the speeds, but I has no problems playing and pausing for quite a while, and replay a 4k 10bit, 15gb movie file.

I ran most of my apps from the NVME.

No additional power is needed.

Did you face any such issue with this?

Ye Olde GPT summary from the transcript because the video is far too long:

But he doesn’t mention if it’s 2.4GHz or 5GHz or both that’s being blocked.

I am not sure I faced it. But probably because my router is close to where my Mac is. Barely a few feet away.

Edit: I just measured the distance. It is 3 feet from the router. I tried moving it around, and I did not see any drops. I do not know how it will be if it is far off.

But, I would still say buyer beware!

PS: Edited my OP to reflect the possibility. I would not want anyone to have bad experiences with WiFi especially considering how difficult it is to find an external WiFi adapter that works on MacOS.
@@rsaeon @@rajneeshrana is there anything else I could do to ensure a potential buyer will not get a bum unit?
