Haier front load washing machine

Hi All

Looking to buy a direct drive front load washing machine. The only 2 companies making these seem to be Haier and LG.

While LG is the more reputed brand, Haier has a 5year comprehensive and 20 year motor warranty while the LGs have a 2/10 year warranty. The LGs are also close to 5-7k more expensive than Haier.

Does anyone have any practical/ ownership experience on Haier washing machines?

I live in Mumbai so service should not be an issue with either brand I think.

Any insight would be great. Thanks

Have owned multiple Haier washing machines, within and outside with extended family.
But always bought Top Loading machines. Never faced any issues they ran troublefree for multiple years. Even shifted cities with one and its still running fine.

No experience with LG. have Haier front load machine and it’s been working flawlessly for 2+ years now.

Stick to the LG.

Why do you care how long the warranty is? Are you in some temporary place and may need to move hence sell in less than 5 years

The motor warranty is redundant as it’s the last thing that will develop problems

LG has a service network in place. A machine is a 10yr+ investment if you care for the machine.

I actually tried to buy the haier machine twice from Flipkart during this period. Was getting it for abt 22k with exchange and bank offers. Seller was Omnitech Retail

The 1st time I ordered, it showed shipped, reached nearest hub, and then no movement. Followed up with their customer care, to no avail for 2 days and finally cancelled

Ordered it again after a few days at the same price, this time the machine was delivered, but was a used machine with water inside and accessories missing. Same Omnitech Retail seller. So cancelled

Finally got the LG on the early BBD sale for arnd 22k with exchange and offers etc.

It was probably just meant to be :sweat_smile:
