Haleem from Pista-House, Hyderabad home-delivered by Gati

Pista House is Good if you eat at their main branch/ tolichowki or else you’ll Get 3/4 bones than meat. Last time i had bone haleem experience twice when i showed That Box to that outlet Guy he Started Saying “Kabhi Kabhi aisa ho jaata” He Argues he Just Gets Rs.15/box as a comission and also says most of the outlets sell fake haleem filled in the used boxes of pista house.

It is that bad.

So does Gattti get it from the main branch then ?

I don’t know.

and can someone provide an actual link for ordering ??

Gannu says its good.

no, on the board you reply to everyone.

A PM is only to the persons concerned.

I meant you quoted him only in your reply.

Yes, showing everyone that he’s vouching for the quality of the product.

Given what swatkats said, he’s even more vindicated now.

I kinda suspected people would try to pass of their own product as pista house, never struck me that they’d go to the extent of using fake packaging. I mean unless you know the real thing then you’d be completely blind.

Have to know what the real thing is like, after you can be a better judge for local produce.

No Ahmedabad. :banghead:

Let me add to the frenzy, I am a meat lover, and during my brief stint at Hyderabad, I did try it out Haleem from Pista House Tollichowki, did not like it very much, but that could be due to multiple reasons, it was cold, and it is really heavy, was under the influence… some of the foreigners in our group totally loved it. But, I think it is an acquired taste, gets better over time, maybe its a good thing I did not develop taste for it, I dont need to add to my existing excessive caloric intake.

The guys who did order through GATI do post your impressions, will order for my family.

Relax guys! :face_with_tongue:

Like I said before, I had ordered it sometime back during Ramadan 2010 IIRC when I was at my home for a short vacation and Gati was delivering it to many places back then. They had delivered the shipment in a vacuum sealed tin. We had to store it in the freezer and consume it after heating it properly. The quality was very good (absolutely no bones that I can recall of).

I am not aware of the intricacies of the logistics involved but I believe Gati picks up the shipments from Pista House’s main branch on a daily basis and ships it to the Metro cities daily. For Coimbatore and Vizag, they do it on a weekly basis.

@cisco_tech - sadly yes. I called these guys up yesterday on the toll free number to reconfirm if they don’t deliver. The lady over the phone said they don’t. :frowning:

I had this today but unfortunately it wasn’t well made and I refuse to stop until I’ve had the most authentic perfect one in Kolkata. Kolkata foodies point me to the right place? Arsalan, Shiraz? Haleem experts!!

You had just some random Haleem or the one from Pista House being discussed here?

2 at pista house - check
shah ghouse - next
sarvi - later…
