Help me run tally 7.2 in windows 7 32 bit- trying since 6months

hey friends i m having this problem since windows 7 released

i thought may be i would get some fixes regarding this issue but no solution till now

whenever i try opening tally 7.2 i get this type of error -

but tally 5.4 and 6.3 is working perfectly

and i also cannot transfer the data through migration tools, getting error, tried various tools

also it is working through xp mode in windows 7 but i cannot install my printer in xp mode which is important because i need to print from tally 7.2

please someone will be knowing the solution it will be of great help,waiting for replies

u can always use virtual box to install xp and then install tally7.2 in it. u will also find no problems in taking the printout.

I assume that you have the original version, so you are entitled to call up Tally and ask for the soltion.
They will give you a patch.

If you have a ahem copy then try running it under XP environment.
I have heard it helps but i do not know as i do not have Windows 7 so take my advice with a pinch of salt

i dont have the original version

it works fine in xp mode but i m not able to use printer in xp mode which is the most important part as printing is necessary

i think tally 9.2 has the latest migration tool. U can use that. I have used it…

i m using tally 9.1 n its working fine on win7

i just installed tally 7.2 (trial version) but its working fine on win7 x86 may be the one u hav is bad one …

try running in compatibility mode.

have u disabled UAC?? I too faced several issues while installin/using tall in my friend’s pc.. since he had disabled UAC windows 7 was displaying a similar msg about permissions. try enabling the UAC and then giving the permission to access the item. also make sure u have disabled the net access or blocked tally from accessing internet using firewall.

  1. try run as admin

  2. try xp sp2 compatibility mode

  3. disable uac

  4. try installing it in other drive then c

also mention which build win7 u r using …
