Hi
i am planning to upgrade my PC as its very old now.
for this month my budget is 10k. gradually to go for other upgrades…
currently having intel 2ghz processor and age old board.
now i wanted to go for AMD config now
help me to find out AMD processor and motherboard having good on board graphic.
also suggest is it better to go for motherboard with good onborad graphics or low end board with good graphic card.
i want to play games like juiced 2, GTA 4, call of duty (new)
my present config. is
CPU Type Intel Pentium 4, 2400 MHz (20 x 120)
Motherboard Name Gigabyte GA-8TRS300M (3 PCI, 1 AGP, 4 DDR DIMM, Audio, Video, LAN)
Motherboard Chipset ATI Radeon 9100 IGP
DVD RW, 17 inch moniter, 1512 Mbs RAM
thanks in advance
AMD 7750BE@3.5K
Biostar 790G mobo@4.4K
This should provide enough with its good onboard gfx…

@ OP
Why not go with Intel setup ?
Intel E5200 - 3.3k ( u can easily OC it to atleast 3.1 or above on stock cooling/voltage)
Gigabyte g31 s2l - 2.3k
Palit 4670 - 4.6k
Total @ 10k
Then he has to inv est in a good PSU too… Atleast a zebronics Pro 350W@1.5k coz cant risk operating a gpu in a generic PSU…

thanks Karthi and H D surly that will help
7750BE comes with HSF? I thot Black Edition comes w/o HSF..Noob at AMD :ashamed:
If yes then wts special abt **BE **as comapred to normal edition?
^^Black Edition comes with HSF.. Its only OEM version that don’t . .
Also AMD HSF has improved a lot and provide much better cooling than previous gen HSF.. You might better want to get X27850 + a 790GX above stated

No prob bro!
But, it 'll be much easier if u cn post ur present config too so we cn see ur monitor, psu and can give exact advice for you
amdy why not sell off your old cpubox and purchase a new one…you’ll get around 3-4 k for old one…
go for phenom 8650 triple core instead of 7750 BE .will cost you 4600 quid.

apart from gta 4 the rest of the games you said will run on low to med settings…
X2 7750 BE comes with HSF. the difference b/w normal proccy is that, BE has unlocked multipliers.
but the real fact is dat 7750BE will max at 3.3GHz on stock HSF even though it has unlocked multipliers, unlike other AMD’s old BEs.

go for intel setup in my opinion
g31+e5200+hd 4670+zebby 350w or vip 400w
2.2+3.3+4.2+1.5= ~11k
o’c the procy a little to atleast 2.7ghz and enjoy
1k more than your budget but much better vfm imo:)
Boss don’t forget that you have to upgrade your ram also as older ram is DDR1 not supported in the newer boards…
7750BE + 780g motherboard 7k~7.5k
I suggested Amd config bcoz u can upgrade ur processor when u wish to without changing ur motherboard.
