Help with CPU temp Monitoring

Hi friends,

I’ve recently purchased following CPU MB combination.

Athlon 7750+ BE with Gigabyte GA78GPM-DS2H.
Now my questions are

  1. How do I monitor the temperature of CPU? I didn’t find any software for this in the dvd that came along with the motherboard.
  2. Instead of connecting the chassis fan ( of CM Elite) to connector on MB, I’ve directly connected it to the PSU. Is it right? I mean What’s wrong if the cabinet fan always runs at full speed, anyways I don’t think that the fan supplied with CM ELite supports variable speed.
  3. I’ve not connected anything to the MB connector named " Northbridge FAN". I think it is only required if you put a extra fan. Am I right?
  4. Is stock cooling solution sufficient ( for both CPU and Cabinet) if I do not add any GFX card and do not overclock? The only card inside is TV tuner. Rest everything is onboard.
  5. Is CM extreme 390W sufficient for above config along with 2 IDE and 1 sata devices?
    Thanks in advance:)
  1. Realtemp, speedfan, coretemp, siw are some options
  2. It’s OK to direclty connect it to psu, if you connect it to mobo, you might get an option to warn you when it’s failing etc
    3.That’ right
4.stock cooling is enough if you don’t overclock
5.Should be enough, but if you plan to upgrade, perhaps buy a gpu later, it might be safer to get something better. Anyway I would prefer CM real power
    psu

Thanks for suggestions.
