I think I didnât specify clearlyâŚ
It is kinda off topic
I was talking about the hot air soldering reflow station, to be more specific how the cheaper ones have bad behaviour with the power line and just raw dog pwm straight of mains voltage without any phase sync causing other mains devices to flicker and stuff.
My old canon lbp 2900b produces the same ill side effect when it is printing and I donât think it is a high power load issue because air conditioners, induction, air heaters etc work fine on the same line.
Not a big deal but wanted to know if there was some fix.
Thatâs all
My fairly recent 22k Brother printer does this too.
I am starting to wonder if the issue has something to do with zero-crossing switching, itâs surprising that a company like Brother could overlook that.
It might also be a combination of factors happening inside the device. Maybe the correct filtering and circuitry are already in place, and what we are seeing is just the last 5â10% of flicker that is considered acceptable in normal operation.
Companies tend to focus only on meeting the requirements needed to pass certification and not much beyond that.
