I’m currently in the process of moving out job for the foreseeable future, also the house shift will happen while I am away. I need to store my PS3, PS2, PSP games plus DS and GB carts along with books CDs and retro magazines and weekly prints.
Plan so far is stackable plastic boxes with silica packs and dehumidifier packs (Absorbia) and plastic sleeves for each case or book so stacking does not damage them or minimal impact. Consoles like PS3 and Switch will travel with me but I am unsure if I should carry PSP and PS discs in a CD wallet. Those stored will be kept in boxes is what I decided, or should I store them seperately on plastic cases? I want to make sure I’m choosing the best method for long-term preservation.
Any suggestions for good quality boxes, plastic sleeves and silica pouches. Would also love to hear how others handled storing their collections during a move, and moving away for long term.
Call Agarwal Packers & Movers and tell them your requirement and your budget.
I moved 1000kms and they bubble wrapped my expensive electronic items & used card board boxes for all others. All cardboard boxes and bubble wraps they brought along with them and unloaded here and also gave some cardboard boxes to us since we needed them.
Almost 57k from Hyderbad to Chengalpattu locked and loaded.
Including 2 scooters also packed with bubble wrap. All house appliances like 1 AC, 3+1+1 Sofas, 2 Diwans, 1 double cot, 1 four seater Dinning table, 2 computer tables with 1 desktop PC and 1 laptop PC, 1 ergonomic chair, 2 plastic chairs.
They have packed in front of us and after loading into the big van then we left for our new place that night.
Agrawal did a pickup along the way from Nellore Town another Diwan and delivered to us here.
