How does someone get started with becoming an authorized dealer/distributor for computer components?
Secondly, many products are imported from china but do not have a huge customs markup, how does the seller do that? Is it a deal with the manufacturer to provide the product at a lower cost to cover customs?
Start with retail, before retail start with reselling. Don’t enter any market if you don’t have any hands on experience prior.

People are selling their products all over internet, over fb groups, over tech enclave, over olx and quickr. Offer them an immediate deal and they’ll be happy to give you a nice deal. Now resell those products, soon you’ll have visibility, and people will naturally come to you for selling items. Also maintain a whatsapp channel for items. I am in tons of such groups

The market for reselling is smaller and more difficult imo

Afaik if you’re a company, you can import items at a fixed customs rate. Not unpredictable varying rates like it’s for normal people.
