Guys I have HP Pavillion dx2480 PC with Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 @2.93 Ghz.
Though I am satisfied by it’s performance but want to extract best possible power.
Please tell me how to overclock it and to what maximum limit I can overclock it?
I have three fan in the cabinet including system fan, CPU fan, power supply fan.
Thanks

if there is no option in the mobo for OC, here are your possible options
Get another mobo, with OC support
Use software to OC, (i haven’t tried that, and have no idea about its consequence)
Forget OC, and keep smiling
software oc generally does not happen…i have tried it when i was just entering into the oc scene…
why it is that OEM motherboards can’t be overclocked. Can someone guide me to an good article on OC?
OEM mobos cannot be overclocked because they have a custom bios with many options hidden. Majority of the overclocking happens in the bios.
i have an intel pentium dual core processor and msi professional series motherboard. the disc that came with mobo had an oc software but i didn’t know how to use it. if any one could help me with that.. i have 2 fans in my cabinet . one on processor and other one the smps.
mobo- MSI G31 TM-P21
processor- dual core e5300 2.60Ghz pentium inside
