Just wanted to play old games like vice city san andreas etc. Not even sure how to though. No official source as far as I can see. Downloaded from other sources but so many glitches. Any idea?
Edit: Just checked, itâs unavailable because these games are still being sold officially on Steam
You can play the gta trilogy on steam , has gta vice city, san andreas and gta 3 in it.

The non-sale price seems pretty awful at 3300. On sales, it apparently goes down to 1100, which is way better.
I think if you ask around you can get some friend willing to share it.
Rockstar had a promotion few years ago where they gave it for free.
I had used the torrent version.
From what I know, the triology is the newer edition, which wasnât reviewed very well⌠If you wish to purchase it, itâs currently available on epic for 1088. I donât think itâs worth even at that price tho..
Itâs 90% same, they have tried to improve the game engine and graphics.
Yes wouldnât suggest to buy at the price , but definitely works like better than the original version on newer hardware.

The original GTAs on PS2 were made on a certain engine.
Then the game was ported to mobile, with a different weaker engine, and therefore they had to cut a lot of content. Simple examples would be the skybox details, the water interactions, the biking mechanics.
The new versions are based on the mobile port. But they are enhanced from that. So itâs basically a remaster of the weaker version, not the original. It has improvements, but it also has declines.

Idk man, itâs reviewed poorly almost everywhere.. Maybe itâs cuz of nostalgia hitting people that they want the older version, or maybe it is actually bad.. I am not sure..

The remastered versions are not good. Yes they improve graphics but apart from that itâs a downgrade.
Play the original with community fixes.

This is true, but this is a ps4 reddit.
On pc it isnât that bad tbh.
A legacy game from ~2004 anyways wonât work well in current time.
I had tried the old one and the trilogy , the controls on the new were much better, Graphics not that much.

Just started the video, is it this bad. Damn I didnât think it was this bad, maybe my memory isnât serving me well. But seeing this video is making me question my own statement.
It wasnât that bad. I have played both trilogy and originals on pc.
While trilogy has some questionable graphics it ran much better than original on current systems.
Please note that some of the original licensed music is now unavailable on trilogy and even original digital downloads due to expiration of rights.
Donât worry too much about it and just play however you want. I always used lots of cheats while playing gta games as I enjoy it that way
50 fps on sanandreas. Kill me dude.
Thatâs why I was actually surprised, even gta v which is a much newer game runs much better on his hardware..

Thatâs what I remember.
I didnât did a 1 to 1 comparison like the video and was more interested in playing the game than nit picking, haha and thatâs why didnât notice this much.
But yes I had tried the og one and it wouldnât open thatâs when I shifted to trilogy one.
Sail the seas and check Internet Archive for .zips.
VC and 3 are around 1gb. SA should be around 5.
Just make sure you download the proper versions and files.
