Price is tempting but 3.2 usb ke hisaab se very slow speed 100MB/s only.
Even low brands like digitek is giving 150mbps speeds.
What’s the catch here?.
I have similar model hp pendrive ,usb 3.1. Its working well since 3 years.
I too looked at low speeds [70-100] from reviews as its mentioned as usb 3.2 but at that price its a good deal, for OS installs or moving data .
Slow flash chips
who tf uses comma for decimal? That makes it even more confusing.
Might be chinese benchmark tools CrystalDiskMark result is ok.
These are read speeds or write
I have a sandisk one for which reads are in the 150mb/s range but writes are limited to 35mb/s
Even for flash drive, terms are x days service center replacement.
So if its a dead 300 Rs drive, they expect us to go to service center ? Amazon has really fallen in terms of ease of use..
check
These are read speeds.
True. Noticed similar return policy (10 days Service Centre Replacement) for sandisk,hp pendrives on amazon. Flipkart mentioned 7 Days Return Policy
For the moment, Flipkart offers better returns.
Shockingly, Amazon is offering “Service Center Replacement” for Refurbished items.
How can an Out Of Warranty pre-owned product bought from an Amazon seller claim service from am authorized service center?
Usb 3.2 gen 1 is usb 3.0 which is up to 5gbps
Such pen drives will write at a speed of 15-20MB/s once their cache is filled so they are only good for moving small amt of data or as a bootable device which mainly does read operations only.
That 35MB/s too is just till cache is filled after which you will not get more than 15-20MB/s.
This always confuses me.
so,
USB3.0 = USB3.1 gen 1 = USB3.2 gen 1
all 5 Gbps
and
USB3.1 gen 2 = USB3.2 gen 2
both 10 Gbps
Nice naming scheme.
Many European countries apparently. Language in the benchmark photos seem German which sounds about right. Remember us using our own numeral system like 10.00.000 instead of 10.000.000 (the international system) is similarly weird for others.
Anyway back to the topic, I think its scummy that they use terms like USB 3.2 and Up to 100MB/s read performance when in reality USB 3.2 just means the speed interface and “Up to” means the actual performance could be anything.
I will be skipping this one as I don’t it anyway. Thanks though.
And don’t get me started on people interchanging mbps and MB/s. Those are very different things (megabit vs megabytes) and in terms of 100mbps vs 100MB/s, that’s a huge difference for a pendrive.
The USB naming scheme has always been this way. There was a reddit post with explanation and it’s hilarious how much they’ve changed the names back and fro.
