Please help.
I can access websites from internet, but nothing else works. (Facebook, twitter,gmail, weather, maps, other internal appsa requiring net connection).
Am on 2.2 stock rom (India)
you need vmc for that AFAIK.

Yes, if you are looking to surf those sites and the apps you need VMC. VL will also do, but the charges will be high(10p/10kb)
BTW if I get your query right, did you activated the configuration for all apps?? I mean there will be something like “Activate default in all apps”.

Apps wont work with Vodafone Live. For that you need Vodafone Mobile connect. Use MNP and switch to Airtel 
may be vodafone live uses some proxy? if thats the case it wont work with most of the apps!
^^ Ya ya you are right, I just forgot, VL won’t work with app’s, as it uses some proxy for connecting. You need VMC.
Go for 2GB for 98/- for 30days.
@OP Where are you from? In Mumbai, I’m able to use VMC at 10p/10kb using APN www. Try changing your APN to www and post the results.
