Hello, i want to send an AMD processor with its orginal box to someone. Should i handover the box as is? Do they pack it over it or what’s the process. Please someone guide me through it
Need to pack yourself they will just put it in plastic cover and place delivery address sticker
Can i bubble wrap cover it with and tape it, then send to delhivery?
Yes bubble wrap it and use cello tape to pack it and hand it over to the Delhivery guy.
Should i also get additional protection for 120rs more, or is it not needed?
Cover the original box with tape or paper to hide the original labels , content of the box.
Avoid giving specific item contents if you can during the booking.
They usually have a selection for electronics as a general choice.
Yes the box content will be well hidden under bubble wrap. Should i not select electronics when booking the service?
I would like to share one of my recent experiences with Delhivery.
Sent my half-dead GPU to fix. Sent it MP it took 2 weeks to and fro.
IDK what happened to the box (I had sent it inside the original box of the GPU), after it came back to me, the centre of the box had seen damage. I also noticed that it somehow came into contact with water. Luckily, I had wrapped it with all the bubble wrap I had, and internally, there was no sign of water entering.
So I would suggest you wrap it properly. We will never know how the packages will be handled.
And about the protection part, the value increases if the value of the product is expensive. It’s a good thing to add if you are sending it very far away.
Electronics is fine.
Some shippers allow for you to add a description of exact contents which I avoid giving.
Should i visit the courier office directly, i heard they do packaging for extra fee. I will be there packing it well and then ship?
That’s unfortunate.. i didn’t expect this
No need for this.
They don’t do any extra packing but place the parcel in a Delhivery cover and ship it. That’s all.
hey! yeah, you can hand over the AMD processor but it’s best to pack that box inside another sturdy box with some bubble wrap or padding for extra protection during shipping. most courier services will just ship what you give them, so adding that extra layer helps keep it safe. hope that helps!
yes i have used bubblewrap and also a layer of plastic bag secured with tape. i visited the dtdc office and they packed it with their cover. i asked them to put fragile sticker and handle with care.
