I5-14500, 32GB 6000MHz, RTX 3080 PC for SALE!

Looking to sell a fully built PC with the following specs:

1. CPU - Intel i5-14500 (14C, 20T)

CPU was chosen based on the workload which wasn’t gaming, hence the intel CPU since it outperforms equivalent Ryzen chips by a substantial margin for my workloads. Games run just fine too obviously.

2 years warranty remaining.

Note: This particular CPU uses Alder Lake architecture despite the naming scheme, hence its free from the voltage failures that plagued the other processors from the 13th and 14th gen lineups.

2. RAM - Acer Predator Pallas II 2 x 16GB DDR5 6000MHz CL30

Works fine with the XMP Profile and otherwise.

Limited lifetime warranty.

3. Motherboard - Gigabyte B760M D2H DDR5

Works fine, CPU has been undervolted a bit to save on power. Will revert all settings to default before shipping.

2 years warranty remaining.

Note: For those interested in VFIO Passthrough or Proxmox, the IOMMU groups work fine for PCIE Passthrough setups. Have tried before and performance was really good, about 5% off of bare metal.

4. Arctic Freezer 36 Air Cooler

Performs extremely well for the price, keeps the CPU cool, under full multithreaded load, CPU doesn’t go above 70C. It’s very quiet as well.

5 years warranty remaining.

5. Zotac Trinity OC RTX 3080 10GB

As can be seen in the pictures, the card is currently being used deshrouded with 3 fans, this was done for better cooling since the stock Zotac fans were quite honestly terrible. There’s a common issue with the 3080 Zotac cards where one of the fans starts vibrating and running slower over time, this is a design flaw and almost every unit was affected by this, reddit threads can be found regarding the issue. The fan doesn’t rattle or create any noise, just runs slower than it should. I can put back the stock fans or leave it as it, as per buyer preference.

Currently running it at around 2010Mhz and it hits 68C. For reference the stock boost clock only goes till about 1875Mhz. Not much performance improvement for gaming though.

No warranty remaining, carried over from a previous build.

6. PSU - Ant Esports FG750 750W 80PLUS GOLD

Not the best choice, but budget constraints at the time forced the choice. It does work perfectly fine and has given me no issues till date. The 3080 power spikes don’t bother it at all either.

2 years warranty remaining.

7. Storage - Crucial P3 1TB SSD

Pretty old, still far from the endurance rating, works fine.

No warranty remaining, carried over from a previous build.

8. Case - Ant Esports Box C Air

No damage on the case, looks good as new. Pretty bad airflow though. The front panel Type-C Port wont work because the motherboard doesn’t have a header for it.

No warranty remaining.

Reason for Sale: Underpowered for my main workload, and overpowered for any other use-case like media server etc. Would rather sell it off than have it sit and eat dust.

Feel free to ask for any benchmarks or tests in the DMs.

I will not consider selling individual parts unless most of the parts have found buyers.

Shipping costs can be split 50/50 unless the buyer desires to handle shipping themselves. Shipping risk will be on buyer. The PC will be shipped in the original box for the case. The GPU will be removed and put in the original GPU box and shipped separately to avoid shipping damage, and the case will be stuffed with packing material. The PC has been transported in the same manner before and sustained zero damage.

The price is reasonably negotiable because to be honest I pulled the price out of my butt. Interested buyers can DM to discuss the price.

Attaching email order confirmations for now where the invoice isn’t available, the invoices will be retrieved from the vendors in due time.

I am interested in buying Arctic Freezer 36 & Ant eSports Box C Air if you are selling separately. Thanks.

Are there boxes for both available?

@bssunilreddy Will sell separately once other parts find buyers too. Boxes are available for both, although the internal partitions for the cooler box are not available. Will ship as appropriate.

If you dont mind -

Is this visible in gpu/memory/hotspot temps ? Can you give some links. I have one, and so far (3years) it runs well enough.

Only slightly visible in average GPU temps.

As it would seem, it’s an issue with the bearing and the shroud of the GPU. The issue can be eliminated by vertically mounting the GPU or by using some specific anti sag brackets that hold up that part of the shroud. The issue is always with the fan near the ports. TechnologyHell also listed a Zotac 3080 on his used GPU thread and it seems to have the same issue.

thanks, i guess my usage does not affect it and anyway i dont mind noise as i have other noise sources too.

Probably things that help-

  1. Couple of them mentioned fan speed > 90%, which i never have. I do use a more aggressive fan curve that runs at 70% at 60C/65C. But it settles around low 70C at most because of 2) below.

  2. I undervolt and set power limits. This card doesn’t scale as well at higher power and freq anyway. So most of the time my card is running around 230w and for some games i push it to 275w or so. Even at ~1710, i get close to stock performance within a few %.

  3. I did have that fan suddenly make noise and then going silent issue from start. Not sure why but it seems to have stopped. Likely due to custom fan curve. I also have an external fan below gpu. On linux where i dont game, this was esp annoying but seems to have gone away, maybe because i restricted monitor to 60fps.

1st fan might still be slower, i don’t know but temps are fine. Anyway glws. Custom fans is a bonus for any buyer here as these should be better than stock.
