Okay..firstly…thank you everyone for your very valued inputs and comments!!
Secondly, being absolutely hardware illiterate and a noob, honestly I did get rather confused as DarkNight pointed out.
Let me once again state my requirements and other things that I’m keen to incorporate into the rig :
1.NO PLAN of buying a comp again within the next 4 years…hence i5.[Budget not permitting an i7.]
2.Requirements are basic animation. (MAYA and Photoshop-‘ing’,gaming occasionally, everyday usage and surfing..)
I DO NOT need a very high-end rig or a graphic card I know.
But keeping in mind my plan about using the comp for a long time to come..I’d want it to be ‘futureproof’ hence the initial plan of a DX11 card. But being cautious because of it being relatively new technology..plus prices seem too high.
3.Understand NOTHING about computer hardware…hence do not go in for upgrades because it involves getting a technician to tamper with set configuration again.
Keeping this in mind,
This is what I’ve narrowed down the list to :
Cpu - Intel core i5-750 (2.66Ghz)
Mobo - Msi P55 GD 65
Ram - Transcend 2x2gb 1333mhz ddr3 - 5.2k
HDD - WD 1TB
Optical drive - Samsung DVD writer - 1.1k
Graphics card - Powercolor or sappire Ati 4850 [Need a temporary and affordable option that’ll support a 24" full HD display for games and HD Movies until DX11 cards are out and the prices stabilise.]
Cabinet - Cooler Master Elite 334 or if there is a slight surplus in resources a CM Scout Storm.
SMPS - GlacialPower 650W - 4.6k / Corsair VX 550 - 5.5k [Keeping in mind DX11 card to be taken later…don’t want to change SMPS again for the card.]
Cooler : Cooler Master Hyper TX3 - 1.3k
UPS : APC 1000 VA - 6.3k
Phew!
Would be very grateful to receive your inputs/feedback/suggestions and options..
Thanks for all your patience and hearing me out again,
Spekter.
