Initial impressions of Mavericks [hackintosh]

Upgraded to all new Mavericks, world’s most advanced operating system :face_with_tongue:

I just love it. I find it very very fast. And I have no reason why lol :face_with_tongue:

  • Safari has been improved really good. Looks good to use. But fck it, I switched back to Chrome.
  • Everything is fast. Launchpad, Sidebar, Spotlight, Going full screen mode, iTunes etc etc.
  • Love iBooks. Working as I expected.
  • Boot time is fast
  • Tags feature is good
  • Newly installed apps shine like this :

Bad :

  • No new wallpapers -.-
  • Notes not working

Mavericks has been pretty amazing so far, almost close to Snow Leopards snappiness.
Been working very well on both my 09’ MBP and Hackintosh.

Wow, this one is awesome config! I am very sure it would be lot fun to use on it. Whats the display size? Anything above 25" will be awesome!

Hey, thanks. Right now, using a 23" Ultrasharp, though the 27 Ultrasharp is being eyed by me currently :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Hey, I bought a MB Pro Retina 13 8GB model a month ago and instantly updated to 10.9.3 Mavericks. I find the animations pretty laggy and slow :cyclops: I tried to find a fix and got to know that many others are facing the same problem as mine. :bored:

^ try the new 10.9.4 update. It might help you

I updated to s10.9.4~~/s~~ 10.9.3. I see no issues.

I just updated to 10.9.4. Don’t you face lags in “About This Mac” window while switching between tabs? Also, the animations still aren’t smooth when clicking “Show all tabs” button in Safari and scrolling between tabs.

Nope. No issues at all.

No issues here either. Maybe try and reinstall???

I had a couple of issues on my mac a while ago. A fresh install fixed them

and also do combo update, download size may be big, but always goes hassle free.
