Lol… Now this gets insteresting.
I really hope these Rumours are true.
But then, well only see Intel + SLi, and AMD + Xfire… Hmmph…
I don’t know if Intel will want to buy NVidia. It will put too much of a strain on their cash flow, and they are already in the middle of restructuring with so many thousands facing the axe.
Think Intel and Nvidia have too many things which would compete with each other directly (mainly chipsets and onboard graphics)…wonder how they would resolve it …still hope it would go thru.

the bunny suit bet was for dell going amd . that guy is a good sport too .
however i dont see this deal working out . the EU will never let it happen .
oh…yah…just dint recollect that it was Dell going for AMD chips…my mistake…
Speaking of aqquisition …
no one is talking about HP aqquisition of Voodoo PC .
Voodoo offers custom high end pc’s in canada and has a very loyal customer base . their designs are fabuelous .
Lets see how this stands again dell - alienware .
Intel on the other hand has its own graphics solution which still count as a largest share amongst consumers world wide . so ideally intel is #1 in this segment .
now if its goes on to aqquire the #2 in graphics manufacturer in terms of numbers , that may not be feasible for other people in this area of work ie fair trade . so i am sure EU will butt in somewhere . they do not ie stop the actual aqquisition but then they can rear their head anytime .
Amd on the other hand went on to aqquire ati which is a smaller company compared with nvidia , and also amd afaik never had its own graphics solution .
money on the other hand also puts a lot of constraint .
